Research Insights

I recorded and screen-captured the whole conversation of the focus group and uploaded it to YouTube. So, I reviewed the conversation to analyze more insights. To capture the relevant information, I first reviewed the conversation and pause the video to transcribe the valuable points made by the group members into a document. Therefore, there will be more text content before finalizing the six insights. I need to analyze and extract valuable insights from these transcribed contents. The easy part is reviewing what the group members said. The challenging part is finding the underlying potential issues within their intuitive comments.

Focus Group Insights

1.

Lee:

In my dream, one character chased away the other characters, and the next morning I felt refreshed and energized. It's like my subconscious pressure, something that affects my emotions. But the character in the dream helped to chase it away, which temporarily relieved the emotional pressure.

Insight:

By conveying dream plotlines that can help alleviate emotional stress in real life, it can attract the audience's interest to understand the meaning of dreams and figure out the pressure in their life.

2.

Sai:

Because I'm single in real life, I've been single for many years. But on Valentine's Day, I would have dreamed of having many boyfriends. I would think that I must be dreaming about what I lack in real life. Whatever is missing in my life, will reflect in my dreams.

Insight:

The festival atmosphere can be a factor that influences dreams and can trigger internal desires for what is missing. Annual holidays can serve as a medium to connect reality and dreams.

3.

Chak:

After waking up, I would think and reminisce about the details of my dream. But as time passes and I have to think about other things, the information about the dream will be automatically put aside and gradually forgotten.

Insight:

To avoid forgetting the content of dreams as time passes, a system can be established, like an alarm clock, to remind potential users to record their dreams after waking up.

4.

Lee:

Only when you have experienced the thing you dreamed, you can explain it, and find out that the thing you dreamed before was to remind you that you will experience this thing in the future.

Insight:

Experiences may include things that were previously dreamed about, so recording and analyzing dreams can help remind and assist people in predicting future occurrences.

5.

Lee:

Collect the feedback information given by users into big data, and then associate the descriptions of users' dream content with subsequent experiences.

Insight:

Creating an information collection database to record users' dream content and experiences can help identify connections between them and assist users in understanding their dreams.

6.

Sai:

People are always changing and growing. Many ideas also change. The dream I had tonight will make me believe more in it than the dream I had last night. The subconsciousness in dreams can help me understand myself better.

Insight:

The content of dreams can be served as a record of people's growth. Looking back at their previous dreams and comparing them with later dreams, potential users can use this information to better understand their own mental journey.
